We have acquired some very interesting forged iron coal carts manufactured by ‘Capital Elevator & Manufacturing’ in Columbus Ohio. The carts can be dated back to roughly the early 1900’s when mining was done by manual labour. There would most likely have been ore-filled wood framed or iron buckets that sat atop the carts – used to haul ore from an underground mine on a narrow track up to an above-ground transport train. We have created an industrial style coffee or occasional table from these vintage carts – using 50’s grade Fir timbers as functional tops. One of these Fir timber topped coal carts can be yours for $400. Drop us a line at email@example.com for further details.
