This late Victorian era home has a simple gable fronted shape. Its interior detailing more clearly shows the late Victorian characteristics in the staircase balustrade and door casings. This Victorian Era build was constructed in 1902 and was the first residence of local home builder John Kemp. This home was the primary residence of the home builder for 6 years after which it was moved, presumably log rolled, to the back of his property in order to make room for a new Edwardian style home in its place. Kemp applied for a repair permit for his original Victorian home in 1912, that was likely the date of the single storey wing addition, built to accommodate a new kitchen. Extraordinary League came on board as the general contractor in 2011, rescuing the home from squatters and a botched restoration attempt. The home is now completed and loved to pieces by it’s new owner. Just another heritage home restoration by the EXLE Contracting team.
